A portrait in colors of the French Wedding Photographer, Mégane Crozes

ENERGETIC MULTI-TASKER – VIRGO RISING GEMINI

Mégane Crozes, pleased to meet you !

Wedding Photographer since 2021, I’m based in Bordeaux (France), namely the capital of chocolatine.

Operating both in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, in France and abroad, I’ve given myself one mission: to help create your visual legacy. A legacy that you’ll be able to view again and again, as soon as nostalgia comes knocking at your door. It’s also a chance to see how far you’ve come over the years.

The aim here is not just to take posed, magazine-style photos. It’s a mix of documentary, candid and editorial photographic style.

I guide you to reveal yourself as you are, to capture your emotions in the rawest way possible. Because, between you and me, it’s often the most spontaneous photos that are the best.

HOW DID I BECOME A PHOTOGRAPHER?

MY HISTORY

It has to be said that ever since I was a child, my eyesight has always been a very important sense. My eyes still remember the hours spent watching television, reading comics or playing Game Boy Color…

As for my interest in photography, it came much later, at the dawn of my 14th birthday. When I went away to summer camp for the 1st time, I packed a whole load of disposable cameras in my suitcase for no apparent reason (91 team here). And I was right to do so! As soon as I got home, I was crying my eyes out because I’d had such a great time there. And it was only by developing the films that I was able to overcome my grief. And for good reason, I was reliving those 3 weeks of happiness for a second time.

After that, I realised one thing: the memories were so precious that I had to immortalise them, whatever the cost.

Shortly afterwards, I was given my very first digital camera. A revolution for the 2000s teenager that I was. In the same breath, I opened my first Skyblog, then a second. So even though, looking back, it was a bit cringe… I have absolutely no regrets!

Thanks to it, I’ve been able to retrace all my adventures of the time.

In fact, this desire to take photos of everything continued during my time at university. Friends, family, parties, everything! But where it really got serious was during my Masters in International Communication in Strasbourg (France).

It was the golden age of blogging. And in order to put into practice what I was learning at school, I created one on what I was passionate about: gastronomy and human relations. As well as learning a huge amount, it was thanks to this that I landed my end-of-studies placement with a great London communications agency, focusing on the restaurant industry. This placement not only convinced me even more that French food is really something, it also gave me a whole new perspective on photography.

After working for a while, I weighed up the pros and cons… And in 2017, I started out on my own, with Community Management and training as options. For the first few years, I worked mainly for companies. And that’s when 2021 made me realise that I needed to reconnect with the Mégane of yesteryear: the one who enjoyed taking photos of the most precious and simple moments that life has to offer.

Now, I capture the beauty of your connections, just as they are, without artifice.

ABOUT ME

Here are 5 useful facts

AN ENTERTAINER AT HEART

On a day-to-day basis or during weddings, I’m always there to set the mood. So if I’m given a microphone…

MUSIC, MY THING

If I don’t have the patience to make them, I listen to them EVERY DAY, with a particular liking for rock, electro and surf reggae.

I HAVE SEVERAL STRINGS TO MY BOW

At the same time, I’ve been a Community Manager and digital communications trainer for over 8 years! To find out more, click here.

QUITE A CULTURAL MIX

And with good reason: I’ve lived in Versailles, Bordeaux, Montpellier, London, Sète, Rennes and many other places.

MY DARK SIDE

Let’s face it… I love raclette (a bit too much, in fact), spending my days in pyjamas and Patrick Sébastien’s Sardines song.
